With over a decade of experience in immigration law, Michelle Prasad is a dedicated advocate for individuals and families navigating the U.S. immigration system.

Before founding The Law Office of Michelle Prasad, PLLC in Falls Church, Virginia, she successfully co-owned The Northern Virginia Immigration Law Firm for eight years, establishing a strong reputation for client-focused representation.

Michelle’s legal career spans diverse and prestigious roles, including working for a Supreme Court Justice at the Indiana State Supreme Court, earning recognition from the Illinois Governor for her contributions at the Illinois Human Rights Commission, and gaining international experience at top law firms in Shanghai and Cambodia where she focused on business and human rights law and litigation. She has also served in Federal Canadian Law Enforcement, further broadening her global legal perspective.

As an immigrant from Canada, Michelle personally understands the complexities and challenges of the U.S. immigration process. She takes a personalized, client-centered approach, ensuring transparent, timely communication and strategic legal guidance tailored to each client’s unique case.

Michelle has been licensed to practice law in Maryland since 2015 and remains a Member in Good Standing with the Maryland State Bar. She is also admitted to practice before the Fourth Circuit United States Court of Appeals and is an active Member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
